Day 3

YOUR IDEA OF A PERFECT FIRST DATE
Oh geez, you guys.
This one's kinda lame.
But a toughy.
I don't really think about it.
I mean, I don't plan on having anymore first dates,
I think I like the boyfriend I have.
I want to keep him.
So I guess I'll just say
My idea of a perfect date.
This is going to sound a little prissy or something, I'm sure.
But here goes.
I like the idea of a whole day just dedicated to being together.
Like going out to breakfast to start it off.
Then (since the nice weather today has put me in such a good mood) a trip to Lagoon.
Hang out there, go to Lagoon a beach, maybe.
Then come home, change into something a little fancy,
go to a nice dinner.
And then go out for some ice cream.
I know, simple and maybe stupid.
But that would be a super fun day.

Day 2

A PHOTO OF SOMETHING YOU ATE TODAY
Don't judge.
I had a poopy day yesterday, so to ensure that today would start off better than yesterday,
I ate two things that make the world right.
For breakfast.

Day 1

A PHOTO OF YOU AND HOW YOUR DAY WAS.
Well.
Today.
Probably not my favorite day.
The first part of it started out okay.
School was fine.
My astronomy teacher went off on how annoyed he was with the class and how most of the people in the classroom have pissed him off.
I really hope I'm not one of them.
I really don't think I am.
I don't think I've done anything to piss him off.
Then I call the insurance company on my way to work.
Here's the cool part.
They haven't done ANYTHING with my account since the adjuster came out and looked at it.
Neat-o.
So I've been sitting here for two days waiting to hear back from them and they've decided I'm not worth their time.
Makes me think there's just a bunch of monkeys that work over there.
So they condemned me for not talking to the agent over this whole issue, I tell the lady I'm talking with that I would love to do that, but every time I call her she never answers her phone and every time I leave her a voicemail she never calls me back. So she's no help.
Ugh.
So I was in a pretty bad mood when I came into work.
Then to make a long story short, I found out I'm not getting the promotion I was told I'd be getting during my evaluation in August.
I'm pretty upset.
But I'm not going to say much more than that.
Here's a picture of me.

A Friend of a Friend

My friend Rachael has the sweetest dog in the whole world.
His name is Mowgli.
Mowgli has a little problem that he's been battling with for the last couple of days.
He's walked in from outside one day and his back leg wasn't working.
Things continued to get worse and he eventually lost function in his other leg and then lost control of his bladder.
Rachael took him to the vet and he couldn't figure out what was going on.
So she took him to another vet and he spent the night. The next day they took another x-ray and found that Mowgli had broken his back.
He's only two years old, just a young little guy and the surgery is definitely worth it.
Rachael loves that dog more than most people (I'm pretty sure).
The surgery for his back is around $6,000.
Rachael isn't really financially capable to pay for the whole surgery.
She has set up a fundraiser for him on her blog
TALK2THETREES.BLOGSPOT.COM
If you can, donate just a little to help with Mowgli's surgery.
I know some of you out there (especially Jordyn)have a pet that you love with your whole person.
And you'd do anything to keep them healthy and happy.
If you have just a dollar to donate, it will be appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Life is Exciting!

Well folks.
I'm excited for school.
Not so much this semester, cuz I'm pretty burned out on it.
But I am pretty excited for the coming semesters.
BECAUSE this is the last semester I have to take general classes!
YAHOOOOOO!
I'm so excited to finally get started on my classes for my major!
LOTS and lots of ASL classes about the culture and the history, and of course how to get better at signing!
I can't wait!

Hold your Breath, It's about to get Heavy....

I've been contemplating some things recently.
It's some pretty deep stuff.
Mostly what I'll call for lack of a better word, "Mind fuck." (Pardon the french)
Literally things that make your brain feel like hiding for a while.
At least they do in my world.
Perhaps my whole 4 followers (Holla!) have already thought through these things, and I'm just finally jumping on the bandwagon. Who knows.
ANYWAY.
All of this deep thinking has been brought on by my astronomy class.
Talking about the Universe and its vastness and mystery.
It got me thinking about the end of the Earth, quite literally.
I'm talking about when the sun starts to die and we no longer live in its habitable zone.
Like when the sun starts to grow and the Earth is now floating around just
inside the sun.
Whoa.
That's scary enough, as is.
To think that some day, the Earth will be totally sterile and not capable of sustaining life anymore. That's kind of unsettling.
Not that I have to worry about it, I'm not going to be around.
It's another 3 billion years from now.
But either way.
Let's say, hypothetically that when the sun starts to die and is verging on not being able to support life, that there is still life here. Assuming we haven't all killed each other off by then.
Sorry, that was kind of morbid.
But yes, hypothetically speaking, what if we're still here.
We're going to have to pack up shop (if they're planning on keeping us around when the sun stars to die) and bring allllllllll the people, plants, and animals to this new planet with us.
We'll have to first: get spaceships big enough to bring everyone.
Second: Find a galaxy nearby that will have a planet within its stars habitable zone, can sustain life, and doesn't have anyone or anything on it that doesn't want us there.
Third: Make sure that our animals can live there.
Fourth: Have to improve technology A LOT in order for us to get there in a timely manner, or plan for us to be in space for a good 3,000+ years.
And I'm sure lots and lots of other things that my brain is not developed enough to think about.
That' s a lot to think about.
Granted, we've got 3billion years to work on it.
But still.
AND THEN.
Another thing that causes a mini-panic attack for me is the fact that there's a good possibility that there's no hope for us getting off Earth and into a safer place once our star dies off.
And the miracle that is life may not be known to anyone.
Let's say that we're the only planet in the Universe that has or ever will sustain life.
(It's unlikely, but not proven.)
So this incredible miracle of us coming from a chemical reaction (believe what you will, that's just my standpoint on the issue) billions of years ago and then becoming what we are today will never be known to anyone. We had something truly incredible happen on this earth.
We made cars, we can talk, we had developed brains that were so high-functioning that they were aware of their existence on a planet, in a galaxy, in a Universe.
That's truly incredible! It's nuts!
What if we're the only ones?
This freaking awesome thing happened on this little dinky planet that was next to a little dinky star and BAM, humans, grass, dogs, diseases. CRAZY.
But what if no one ever finds out after we're gone? What if there
is no one to find it out after we're gone?
Freaks me out.
And finally.
One thing I can't wait to ask when I get up to Heaven:
HOW BIG IS THE UNIVERSE?
Obviously, we don't know.
Who knows if we'll ever know?
Does it keep going on forever?
How far is forever?
What if the universe just stops after a while,
is it just blackness after that?
Like a line at the "end" of the universe where it just stops?
What if it's just in a box?
And then there's nothing out there?
Just loneliness?
AH.
Anyway.
Feel free to post your opinions on my topic.
If you can get through my ranting without falling asleep.
I just had to get that off my chest.
(:
